Theatre Across Oceans, or: How to write a Shared History of Theatre – Public Talk at the University of Ghana, 19 August, 2022

On Friday, 19 August 2022, 10am (local time), I will give a talk on “Theatre Across Oceans, or: How to Write a Shared History of Theatre at the Turn of the 20th Century”. The lecture is on invitation of the Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Ghana.

I will speak about my recent book, Theatre Across Oceans (2021) (German: Theater über Ozeane (2018)) and look forward to discussing new ways of writing the histories of the performing arts fostering the idea of a “co-creation” of historiography.
